As a fourth-generation farmer and rancher, I’ve always had a deep appreciation for the value of hard work, craftsmanship, and heritage. Growing up on the farm, I learned early on the importance of precision and attention to detail, lessons that have stayed with me throughout my journey as a knife maker.

But my story doesn’t just begin with farming. My love for knives was passed down to me through my grandfather, who was an avid knife collector. From a young age, I was fascinated by every aspect of knives—how they were designed, their utility, and the artistry that went into creating them. Little did I know that this childhood interest would evolve into a lifelong passion.

As fate would have it, I had the privilege of meeting Keith Murr, a master knife maker who learned from the legendary Bob Dozier. Keith took me under his wing, teaching me the time-honored techniques of knife making, and showing me what it truly meant to create a blade that was both beautiful and functional. The knowledge I gained from Keith has shaped not only my skills but also my approach to making knives—always striving to create something better, more refined, and more enduring than the last.

My wife, my best friend and the love of my life, and I are blessed to raise our children on the farm, where faith, family, and hard work are at the center of everything we do. Our farm and our faith are what guide us every day, and they inspire the care and dedication that goes into every blade we make. For us, it’s not just about crafting knives; it’s about crafting a legacy—a legacy that we hope will be passed down from generation to generation.
